Cursive Handwriting 1 introduces children to basic writing skills in a lively way. It encourages them to practice hand control and improve their handwriting technique. Cursive Handwriting 1 is designed to provide interesting exercises for each letter of the alphabet with useful hints on letter formation. It will teach the child to hold pen correctly and put the paper in the right place. The child is also trained to recognize the sound of each letter he or she is learning to write. This is best achieved by either the teacher or the parent discussing with the child the objects in the illustration at the top of each page.
